Happy little baby elephant, Navann, is having a fun time playing in the mud pit and swimming in a river with his mother and nanny at Elephant Nature Park in Mae Tang, northern Thailand. Elephant Nature Park is a sanctuary and rescue center for these beautiful elephants. Also, it’s a no-riding zone and the elephants do not perform any shows or tricks. Unfortunately, there are only about 30,000 Asian elephants left in the world and the number of Asian elephants has declined by at least 50% in the last three generations. Here, they are safe and at peace.
